CHRISTMAS GOAT

My CHRISTMAS GOAT is featured in Simply Vintage Holiday Issue.  Love this magazine it is chocked full of wonderful projects...  Snow and freezing temperatures have come early to Cedarburg!
Soups, scones, tea and hot cocoa are on the menu... the puppies love it.  The Mini Cooper not so much...would not start and needed a new battery!  I indulged myself in the new Ninja Foodie Hot & Cold Blender.  Made several of those aforementioned soups, butternut squash, tomato, & chicken noodle!  Yes chicken noodle!  ETSY orders keep coming, THANK YOU ALL.  I've got a new Holiday Design GLAD TIDINGS on the frame!  Will post next week.  Stay warm & safe and...Keep on punching.

NO NAME ON THE FRAME

Better late the never...I painted this paddle following a U-Tube video.  It took about 2 weeks.  Lots of coats of paint and a little sanding here & there.  I wanted a color pallet that would compliment the finish, so I chose Weeks Dye Works Pearl cotton.  Hope to start it today.  Tomorrow I'm off to give a program to the Cedarburg Women's Club.  It will be fun.  It started snowing again yesterday and continues today.  The snow buried Ivy's bone, but she found it!  Keep on pumchin.

EWE ME & A FEATHER TREE

Almost finished...EWE ME & A FEATHER TREE.  Every day is full of things to do and today is no exception.  We have about 3" of snow and it's very cold (13 degrees) so the snow is sticking around.  The puppies love it.  I'm off to the Apple Store this morning to the genius bar with my computer.  It's been shutting down for no reason.  it scares me because all the pattern covers and and pictures of my designs are on it.  I did a back up yesterday so I hope Im safe.  I really do want to move on to Holiday Designs, but i have one more PUMPKIN & CROW pattern I've just finished sketching...Will give you an update next week  Stay warm and Keep on Punchin.

CANDY CORN CAT BOXES....Good Morning Blogg Buddies, its Friday again and beautiful here in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.  The trees are a blaze with color and leaves are littering the ground.  It's time for hot cocoa, mittens and high school football games!  Let's not forget taffy apples and candy corn.  These little black cats will be on round and oval fiberboard boxes and filled with candy corn!  These patterns will be available soon.  I'm going to pressure cook a whole pie pumpkin in my Ninja Foodie and promise to post photos... KANDY KORN KAT BOX

Love these little fiberboard boxes...perfect for filling with candy cone.  I have a few oval ones and am working on a series of cats to put on the top!  It's in the 40's today and dipping down at night.  Time to cut some of my herbs and bring them in to dry!  Busy days..cooked a pumpkin in my Ninja Foodie yesterday and made pumpkin seeds (another good thing to put in these boxes).  Will update you soon on my progress.  Here's one in the works.  Keep on punchin.

RIDE BABY RIDE...Good Morning Blog Buddies.  I hope to be a better blogger.  We have a soft steady rain today.  Nothing like the awful weather in Texas.  Stay safe ya'll.  I'm working fast and furious on new designs and will post in progress photos soon.  Because I work in the moment, or in the season if you will; I've got a 3 little CANDY CORN BOXES in the works.  Painting the boxes today.  Will begin punching later this week.  I've ordered some Harris Tweed Wool for my Sheep Pillows and will roll that design out as soon as I get the wool.  Puppies are still keeping be very busy. trying to spend as much time with them outside as I can because I know winter is just around the corner.  Hopefully we have more picture perfect fall days ahead.  Keep on punchin

GOOD MORNING BLOG BUDDIES....It's been a long time since I've posted anything here!  Time continues to fly by...I'm drawing everyday.  Filling orders and taking care of the puppies.  Last weekend was the Art Studio Tour.  My cabin had a steady flow of folks all 3 days.  I'm going to try to be a better blogger and show you my works in progress as well as sharing puppy photo's a some fall recipes...We're coming into the sitting season so...Keep on Punchin.

FATHER CHRISTMAS

FATHER CHRISTMAS...here's the 2019 Santa!  He joins my collection of 8 or 9 privious patterns.  I need to look up the story of Father Christmas bringing oranges and include it with the pattern.  Hope to have this pattern posted in my Etsy store on monday.

2 SNOWMEN ON WOOL

Good morning Blog Buddies...I have No idea where the time goes.  I'm working everyday and there are not enough hours for me to get everything done...  Enjoying a little cooler weather and happily filling orders.  Plus I'm getting the baking bug... I don't know about you, but apple cakes and apple pies are calling my name.  Apples on Ticking are on my drawing board.  Made some peach ginger jam in my Ninja Foodi...can scones be far behind?  Not to worry the 2019 Santa is finished and waiting to be photographed.  Time to pay attention to the dogs who are chewing on my slippers (the ones I'm wearing)  Keep on punching.

GINGERBREAD BOY ON TICKING

GINGERBREAD BOY ON TICKING...I'm excited about this little stocking...plan to fill it with candy canes!  It seems like every day gets busier and busier...AND tomorrow is August!  I have scribbles here and there with design ideas all over the Coop...Ivy had her stitches out yesterday and is raring to go.  I'm trying to keep her quiet the next few days.  She's like a jumping jack and that behavior has NOT improved.  Today I ordered a hoo la hoop from amazon.  It's the if you can't beat um, join um philosophy!  I plan to teach to jump through the hoop and NOT on me.  She likes to body slam me.  Not working for me...  She's like a little angel when she's out anywhere, and the tazmanian devil when ahe's home!  Keep on punchin.

ROBIN ON TICKING

ROBIN ON TICKING...I'm having a blast punching on ticking & wool...it goes soooo fast when you don't do the background!  Ivy was spade last week, so we've been in recovery.  I've been busy with orders and getting patterns ready for magazines...  Good news this morning from France.  Simply Vintage wants Flower Cart, Strawberries on Ticking, & Pomegranate Pocket for Spring & Summer 2020.

POMEGRANATE ON WOOL

POMEGRANATE ON WOOL almost finished.  Ivy is recovering from her surgery so we've spent a lot of time on the sofa with her & Rizzo.  I'm getting a lot of projects finished.  Today is beautiful and much cooler than than the last few days.   I've got a couple more ticking projects in the works then its on to Wool.  Time to dig out those santa's or snowmen!  Keep on punchin.

ROBIN ON YELLOW TICKING

Here's the latest in my ON TICKING series...I'll be starting this one today...It's storming, storming, storming!  My poor Ivy has had a bad night, she was spade yesterday and could NOT settle down.  She and I were up most of night.  Keeping her from licking was an issue.  My vet recommends upside-down tee shirt to protect her incision.  She wiggled out of everything and was not consolable.    I gave her pain pill and sedative at 3 a.m.  Fortunately she's settled down a little.  I will be offering some finished ticking pieces next Saturday and will give you a sneak peak next Friday.

Here's my IVY pre surgery...we'll get through it. She'll be back to her old tricks in no time and I'll have my hands full keeping her quiet for a week!  Keep in punchin.

PANSIES ON TICKING

I've gone a little crazy with Punching on Ticking and I'm just getting started.  Lots more ideas and Punching on Wool is next.  Another busy day ahead...I've added new lyrics to the old Johnny  Cash song " I fought the weeds and the weeds won!"   The puppies and I are out today posting orders,  and delivering a basket of food to an artist friend who is going through treatment.  There is a lot of that going on these days unfortunately.  I'm dreaming of snowmen on wool with cardinals perched on twiggy arms!  Keep on punchin.

CEDARBURG CELERATES THE 4TH OF JULY

Early Yesterday Morning , neighbor and noted Photographer Vicki Reed captured this amazing scene in downtown Cedarburg, just a few block from my Cooperage.  Stunning.  The weather held out for a fantastic fireworks show in the park.  Ivy & I took advantage of the nice weather and played Frisbee.  Of course I ate too much Strawberries, Angel Cake & Lemon Curd...

CEDARBURG CELEBRATES JULY 2019

It will be a small town celebration tomorrow here in Cedarburg.  A parade with school bands, an all day picnic in the park down the street and fireworks at dusk!  Nothing over the top, just a time to realize how LUCKY  we are to be able to be free.  The 4th is always the turning point for me and when I begin to work on Santa's & Snowpeople,   Keep on punchin.

RIZZO & IVY (aka Butterball)

Here's RIZZO & my baby girl  IVY  Six months and 29 lbs!  She is an Australian Labradoodle just like Rizzo.  Same breeder, different parents.  However she does resemble an baby Newfoundland!  These 2 are keeping me on my toes... also in the works are my projects on ticking and wool.  Here's a peek at these.  Watch Not Forgotten Farm's  U Tube Video on fusion.  That was my inspiration!

FUSION...

GOOD MORNING BLOGG BUDDIES...after watching a Not Forgotten Farm Video, I decided to give this a try.  Using a piece of old ticking and a cherry pattern of mine, I followed Lori's directions and fused these 2 pieces together with wonder bond (not wonder bra).  It's in the QUE... after Pumpkin Cart on the frame &  my 2019 Santa Father Christmas on my drawing board.  I tried this several years ago, and was not happy with the loops however I didn't have the right thread or needle size.. I'm going to use #6 Bernadine needle, Weeks Dye Works #5 pearl cotton!  Stay tuned!  Here's a peak at PUMPKIN CART.  It's my favorite... Keep on punchin.
