Simply Vintage Summer Issue

Hi ya all, hope you are all well and safe....it's be a busy, busy, busy few months...all while staying in.  New design finished.  Magazine Deadlines.  Editing my first 2 mystery novels and oh yes...cataract surgery on my left eye.  Right eye next month.  Puppies are getting so big...Today is the first day I'm venturing out to have my hair cut...bangs hanging in your eyes, not a good idea after cataract surgery!

WASH DAY

GOOD MORNING BLOG BUDDIES...Wash Day is on the frame and like many of you; Ive run out of thread!  It's on it's way so not to worry.  We are in very trying times right now and so glad we have our "handiwork" to do.  I've had a lot of orders for digital patterns, plus patterns & thread kits...I've cut my trips to the post office to once a week and everyone understands why.  Stay home, and safe and Keep on Punchin.

GOOD MORNING BLOG BUDDIES...Here's a little freebie pattern for you.  I've been spending most of my time at home for the last couple of years, ever since I moved my studio to the log cabin.  only out for appointments Dr., Dentist, Vet, Groomer, Hair Cut, Pedicure, etc.  My most frequent outings are to the post office sending orders, and grocery store!  The first category has pretty much been eliminated.  But isn't it the way, I'm itching to go somewhere, anywhere!  Same with touching my face.  It never itched before I was told not to touch it!  Stay safe, stay well, and keep on punchin

SPRING BASKET

PANSY BASKET

GOOD MORNING BLOG BUDDIES...I should be having cataract surgery right now, but it was canceled yesterday.  Obviously it was the right thing to do, but I am anxious to get it over with and who know when that will be...The PANSY BASKET is a good example of do as I say and not as I do!
Any of you have ever been in any of my classes or seen my demonstrations knows I say punch all the small items first and the background last!  Like you all, I ran out of thread (it should be here today) and couldn't wait, so I did the background!  Due to this very stressful time, I'll be doing 2 things for my customers.  First 20% off all patterns & thread kits starting Friday March 20,2020

WILD IRISH ROSE COTTAGE

Happy Saint Patricks Day ....early.  Last year this was GOTTCHA DAYfor Ivy.  Where has the year gone?

She's a big girl now and keeps me & Rizzo on our toes!  This is a big week for me, I have cataract surgery on my left eye on Wednesday, and the the right eye next month.   Just anxious to get it over!  I'll give you all a report on Friday!  Working on a Pansy Basket... threads are coming from Weeks Dye Works for the Pansys...Can't wait.  Will post soon.  Keep yourself safe and well.  Keep on punchin.

SIMPLY VINTAGE SPRING 2020

Good Morning Blog Buddies...I'm so happy to have my FLOWER CART pattern in this fabulous magazine. Simply Vintage is a subsidiary of Quiltmania and will be available where ever that magazine is sold.  I do have the patterns drawn on weavers cloth and the thread kits for any one who would like it.   Never a dull moment here.  We are getting a thaw, and the back yard is soggy!  The Cedarburg Winery has it's annual open house this weekend.  It's a sure sign of spring!  Keep on punchin.

GOOD MORNING BLOG BUDDIES...above is the cabin in my backyard the inspired THE CABIN & THE CEDAR TREE..That tree keeps on growing...  It's 9 degrees here, and while I'd like to think Spring, it's BRRR...too cold and snowy.  On the menu today is cheesy broccoli soup and homemade bread sticks that are rising as I write this...making progress on Folk Art Bird.  Keep on punchin

GOOD MORNING BLOG BUDDIES...a sunny day here in Cedarburg as we head to Valentine's Day and the Cedarburg's annual Winter Festival next weekend.  The theme this year is the Roaring 20's. Can't wait to see the ice sculptures, and the bed races on the Cedar Creek.   I was foolish enough to enter the chili contest one year...I was way out of my league!  What fun it is to live in this city!  My February Fraktur Bird on the frame...will post  as soon as I get a little more done.  Stay warm & safe & keep on punchin.

FEBRUARY FRATUR

Good Morning Blog Buddies..another of my favorite Fraturs, FOLK ART FLOWERS.  Finishing up my Tiger & Lillies pillow today.  Will list finish piece as soon as possible.  Making kale & cannelloni bean soup today.  We're hanging around the 30"s going down to 20's, not bad for this time of year.  Time for soup, crusty bread, and punching!  Keep on punchin.

VINTAGE VALENTINE

VINTAGE VALENTINE...it's getting to be that time of year.   I'm almost finished punching on Tiger & Lillies and then on to sketch up a Fraktur...For some reason February is Fraktur month for me...fancy vases, oversized tulips, & colorful birds.  Stay tuned for that...My Skaters's  Waltz has just come home after  being exhibited  at the WISCONSIN MUSEUM OF QUILTS & FIBER ARTS.

IVY DOODLE

Here's my little IVY.  She's an Australian Labradoodle like her brother RIZZO.  She was a year old last month, and it was her party!  She joined in wishing herself a Happy Birthday.  As you can see her real interest is in the cupcake that I moved out of her reach.  Love to do Fraktur designs in February.  .Here's one of my favorites.  HE LOVES ME HE LOVES ME NOT  Keep on punching.

TIGER & LILLIES

Good morning Blog Buddies...Here's Tiger & Lillies on the frame.  I'm punching this with Weeks Dye Works pearl cotton #8.  There are about 40 colors in the palette.  It's a little bit of a challenge working with only 40 colors, but I'm continually surprised by how the color combinations work together to make each project unique.  Here's an example WHITE TULIPS...This pattern & several others are available with Weeks Threads in the Thread Kit.  Keep on punchin

There are so many things I want to share..This was our Christmas Photo. Rizzo, Me & Ivy.  It was almost balmy here in Cedarburg.  The snow came later...
