SO MANY CHOICES

There are so many beautiful threads (too many) to choose from, I often work up a design using a couple of (sometimes 3) different palettes.  I know I obsessed or perhaps possessed.  Pumpkin walk, a work in progress is a case in point.   In the finished pillow the covered bridge is punched in simply wool tradewinds by Gentle Art. On the hoop, the bridge is punched in Valdani's subtle elegance.  I won't know until the hooped piece is finished and tea dyed which one will be the cover of the pattern!  So many choices. I think it's time for a glass of sun tea or lemonade... Keep on Punchin.

GONE FISHIN

Love this lidded creole type basket.  I punched up a couple of fish for the top.  I'm going to post it on etsy today.  While pumpkins are calling my name, the hot weather keeps me thinking up designs for summer.  It's time to move on or I won't be ready for the fall shows!  Keep on punchin.

READY SET GO

My oldest son Jesse has been racing Vintage Go Karts for several years.  This is my younger son Todd's first time out.  Dousman Raceway is a wonderful place for families and a grat way to spend a weekend.   I was amazed at the number of small boys and girls ripping around the track in their karts.  Campers, trucks, and trailers filled the place.  There is even a small grandstand.  I thought we were at a NASCAR event.  I'm sure some of these youngins will be up there with Tony, Junior, and Danica.  The day was overcast, but the needed rain held off.  I was able to do a little stitchin while I watched the goings on.  KEEP ON PUNCHIN.

THE LAST LICK OF SUMMER

While it's still hot and muggy out, one the talk turns to Football, summer is officially over.  Not exactly, but it's time for me to punch up those pumpkins, parsnip pins, and other silly designs.  KEEP ON PUNCHIN.

A BUSHEL & A PECK

One of my new fall patterns  A BUSHEL & A PECK is just about finished.  A little tea dying around the edges, then off to be framed.  I've been stitchin up a storm during this heat wave.  I'm off to photograph an old covered bridge that sits on the edge on town.  I think there's new punchneedle pattern brewing somewhere there.  Stay cool all you stitchin cats out there and KEEP ON PUNCHIN.

DOG DAYS

My son Todd rescued this little bull terrier puppy.  He name is Buddy and he's very sweet.  He doesn't bite, however he does like to taste people.  Harley submits,  Hattie watches from a save vantage point while guarding the door.  I've got a few more pumpkins and crows on the drawing board, and then on to gingerbread men,  Keep on punchin
