SNOW DAY

It snowed most of the night and it keeps keeping on.  This was to be my last day at the CEDARBURG CULTURAL CENTER, I'll have to push that off until tomorrow.  I plan to spend this Free Day in PJ's, with Hot Cocoa,  Homemade Marshmallows,  and working up a couple of new punchneedle patterns.  Of course their are some mittens that need  finishing,  a scarf that needs blocking, and several hundred other tasks that need doing...but for now it's on the made marshmallows and heat up some almond milk for the cocoa.  Keep on punchin.

A SNEAK PEEK

Here is a sneak peek at MS. LIBERTY (HER FRIENDS CALL HER BERTIE).  She's ready to be glued down on the hornbook paddle I painted a grungy green and wiped down with a golden oak gel stain.  Then it's of to the WOOL STREET JOURNAL for the July Issue.  I think she's very patriotic in her own way.  Very busy this month splitting my time between my studio in the farm house gallery and the cultural center.  March 1st I'm moving over to the front rooms of galley.  It will give me the chance to gussie everything up for spring.  Keep on pinchin.

PUNCHIN HEARTS

Here's a peek at the heart pin class on Valentine's Day.  We punched and munched on hummus, yummy crackers, and double stuffed oreo cookies.  I'd call that a perfect day.  Happy to report the gals left with a finished heart.  I'm off to the Cultural Center today and tomorrow.  It's the Winter fest.  Lot's of activities
planned.  I'm sharing the space with a cupcake challenge!  Keep on punchin.

ABOVE THE FOLD...

News Graphics a local Ozaukee County paper visited me in my studio in the Farm House Gallery and wrote up a very nice article titled "Packs A Punch."  It was published above the fold...  It's where you want to be if my junior high school newspaper experience serves me right.   Here are a couple of the photos from the story.  You can still sign up for my heart pin class at the Cultural Center on Valentine's Day.  But do it soon because the class is filling up.  Keep on punchin.

OH YEAH BABY...IT'S WINTER IN WISCONSIN

The boys were out on their toys last night...and there's more to come.  I'm going to fill my thermos with hot coffee, dig my way out, and head over to the Cultural Center where I'll be punchin until about 2:00 p.m.  Then to the studio until 5:00 p.m.  If I'm lucky I'll get a spin on the snowmobile when I get home.  I know I'll be lighting a fire and finishing those sleeves on the sweater I've been knitting.  Keep on punchin.

RESIDENT ARTIST

Here's what I've been up to the last few days... setting up a display for the Cedarburg Cultural Center where my punchneedle will be on display and  I'll be the resident artist.  You can find me there on Wednesday's and Fridays from 10 to 2.  I'll also be there on Valentines Day hosting a heart pin class.  You can sign up on the Cultural Center's  web site under adult classes.  Keep on punchin.
