UNIVERSITY DAYS
Here are a couple of my students learning the ancient art of punchnneedle embroidery over the weekend at University Days. One of the many wonderful programs sponsored by the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts. We had 85 women each of the two days learning felting, knitting tricks, flower making, and this list goes on and on . Notice me in my wooly green sweater. I'd just finished knitting it and thought I wouldn't have a chance to wear it until next fall. The weather gods had their way and the day was cold and damp but only outside. Inside it was warm and friendly. My gals made farmers market , carrot, strawberry, corn, and watermelon pins. back to my studio this morning to meet the Wolf River Quilters who are touring the museum. Keep on punchin.
