"IN STITCHES"

Sorry this page  lay out so crazy, but I can't seem to get it to work out ???

Here goes.  Please meet Carol Fisher a 87 year young woman who lives in Westbend Wisconsin.  While she has never visited these countries, she has mastered the art of their needlework!  This is just a smattering of her exquisite
work.  She has spent years studying techniques practiced by needle artists all over the world!

The Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts is so honored to have Carol's work from 15 countries exhibited as part of In Stitches.  This exhibit will be up     until the middle of July 2015.

She is remarkable woman and an inspiration to us all.  When I first met
Carol, she was telling me about a #16 pearl cotton
She'd just discovered,  and yesterday (she drives down on Thursdays to spend time at the Museum to talk about her work, and teach )  Carol told me how she loves her NOOK, downloads tons of books, plus it has a built in wifi so she can catch up on her email!    At 87 may we all be able to have wifi and be able to catch up on our e-mail.  Keep on punchin,

VIOLAS BLOOMIN INSIDE & OUT

I've been working on vintage seed packet covers for a while and realized I had mostly fruit and veggies, so I got to work on these PANSIES OR VIOLAS as they are called on the old seed packages.  We had a great Spring University Days last Friday & Saturday at the Museum and I'm  off to do a punch demo this a.m. for a tour group.  It keeps me busy.  I'm anxious to receive this premire issue of the new punchneedle magazine  this week.  Working on a submission for their fall issue.  Keep your fingers crossed!  Keep on punchin.

THE FLOWER PEDDLER

I was inspired to put the daffadils in this old blue sap bucket with the FLOWER PEDDLER.  I enlarged the design to fit the bucket.  It looks like I'll be searching the flea markets for items to mount my pieces.  Keep on punchin.

VIOLA

I say Pansy, you say Volia...  I'm working fast and furiously on Vintage Seed Packet Pillows.  I have several veggie ones, but realized the only flower one was morning glory!  So here is Viola, I want to do Sunflower, and /or Daisy.  New exhibit at the Museum "In Stitches"  opens tomorrow.  Keep on punchin.

SEED PACKETS

I've been getting e-mails and catalogs featuring beautiful fruits and flowers to grow in your garden.  It's almost time to get out there and do a yard clean up, not quite ready to plant outside.  So over the last couple of years I've busied myself punching up antique seed packet covers and stitching them into pillows.  Here's the Seed Packet for this year!  Monday I'll be posting the seed packet patterns on ETSY.  Have a Blessed Easter.  Keep on punchin.
