NUTCRACKER''S GRANNY

NUTCRACKER'S GRANNY is finished just in time to celebrate ringing in the New Year!  So happy today, my brand new 3700 Epsom printer is up and running and corrected to my WIFI so I've been able to finish my orders and post them on Wednesday!  Now if I can just get my Quick Books organized life would be perfect.  Plan to spend January drawing up some snowmen and punching a few...Gathered lots of watercolor supplies and have not abandoned the idea of turning some of my designs into watercolor prints.  I've saved the best news til last... Hattie, Rizzo & I are going to get new puppy.  It she or he is expected to be born January 17th and will come home on March 16th.  It's another  Australian labradoodle from the Larbradoodle Corral!  Keep on punchin and Watch this space.

CHRISTMAS TABLE...I had an entirely different day planned for today, but LIFE got in the way.  3 deigns to draw up, 3 covers to print out then off to Post orders, a stop at the bank with Rizzo where he always scores a treat, and a dash into Sendiks for lettuce, kale, a cucumber, and a jar of jam!   The problem occurred when the printer with 2 brand new ink cartridges would not PRINT.  Needless to it's the life blood of my business.  So after a couple of hours of research on line, Amazon will be delivering me a brand new Ipson (I've only had Cannons before) all in one on SUNDAY.  So hopefully I'll be able to have it up and running and printing by Monday so I can complete my orders and resume my plans!  I though this might be a good time to show you some of my Holiday decorations (most have collected over several years) and some cookies.  Happy to send any recipes please email me  cooperage@wi.rr.com if you like.  Keep on punchn

HAPPY BELATED CHRISTMAS...it got so busy here, no time to BLOG!  My New Years resolution is to do better.  No excuses, I spent most of the morning in the APPLE STORE getting my new iPhone 10XR ready to roll.  It takes fabulous photos, so no more excuses.  Keep on punching.

PUPPUCCCINO

Good Morning Blogg Buddies...I'm a day late.  I believe the SANTA LUCIA day was yesterday.  As always I've been as busy as a bee filling ETSY orders and taking care of the dogs.  Just finished SNOW ANGEL and hope to have the photo and pattern ready to post soon.  Pajama gram arrived with matching PJ's for Rizzo & Me.  Watch this space...  On my frame is the Grandmother adding to the Nutcracker, & Sugar plum Fairies.  Plan to add something new each year!  Keep on punchin.

COME AND GONE

Here are the photo's of the CEDARBURG COVERED BRIDGE STUDIO ART TOUR...and yes there were people, lots of people.  Unfortunately I get so involved I forget to take photos.  Now it's full speed ahead to THANKSGIVING and then finishing up a new Santa pin for the HOLIDAY ART FAIR the first weekend in December.  More to follow on that.  My news letter went out today with my November poem.  Please e-mail me cooperage@wi.rr.com if you'd like to be on the list to receive it once a month.  Time to go a SNOW ANGEL is calling my name.  Keep on punching.

SEASON'S GREETINGS

I've had to slow down with my dislocated wrist, it's a good thing I have several pieces done.  I'm able to punch, but it's slow going.  Sewing & stuffing isn't any easier.  I really want to enjoy October & Halloween, and November & Thanksgiving before the HOLIDAY ART FAIR the first weekend in DECEMBER.  I must admit it's on my mind.  Setting up will be a challenge this year, hopefully my wrist will be better.  Keep on punchin.

COOKIE THIEF SANTA

Drum Roll Please...here's the 2018 COOKIE THIEF SANTA.  He should be finished up this week, and listed in www.etsy.com/shop/thecooperscottage.  It seems that the  link to my ETSY STORE is no longer appearing in the upper right hand corner of this blog???  Not sure why.  Cedarburg has been lucky to dodge a couple of tornados the last couple of days, but we've had tons of rain so there's a lot of flooding in the area.  It rained all night and it looks like more rain in our immediate future,  So far thank God the Cooperage is high and dry.  When the first siren went off Hattie howled right along with it for 20 minutes!  Rizzo wasn't sure what to do.  I'm sure it hurts their ears.  It hurts mine.  All is well.  Listing a few finished items on Amazon Handmade this morning.  Musing about a Holiday Door punch needle design.  Keep on punchin.

TOP DOWN DAY

Here's Rizzo in my Mini Cooper...he loves to ride with the top down!  He wears a harness that connects to a seat belt so he's totally safe.  It's still raining here today after a deluge of rain last night and an early evening threat of a tornado!  Never a dull moment.  The dogs and I took a quick tour of the back yard this morning.  Thank God all the trees are standing and appear to be intact.  After a quick run to the post office (keep theses orders coming) and library, I'll be washing dishes, clothes, doing a little closet cleaning in the bedroom, and finishing up Top Down Day.  The  2018 Santa, THE COOKIE THIEF SANTA is off the drawing board and on the frame.  Will preview an update on my next blog.  Keep on punchin.

ON THE FRAME WHITE PUMPKINS

On the frame WHITE PUMPKINS...I think this will be the last fall design, but who knows what the MUSE thinks and SHE always gets her way!  This design might be one of my first watercolor attempts!  Once again, not sure...I keep trying to finish up things so I can begin to paint.  To be honest that is not working so I'm just going to have to set aside time everyday (hopefully the same time everyday to dive in and in the immortal words of Niki JUST DO IT.  Enjoy these sun kissed days and keep on punchin.

Just a little BRUNCH to celebrate summer before it's over!  Time flies whether you're having fun or not.  I chose fun!  Bittersweet & Chuckles is posted and ready to ship!  White Pumpkins with a Bittersweet border is on the drawing board today.  I plan to finish the design and pick colors (my second favorite part) today.  Santa's with suspenders are dancing in my head!  Keep punchin.

Look for CORN HARVEST on the cover the Fall Issue of Punch Needle & Primitive Stitcher Magazine.  Free line drawing pattern inside.  It will be out soon.  We are in the true dog days of summer and I'm busy finishing up several pups and a few fall items for the Cerdarburg's Covered Bridge Studio Art Tour in October.  Dreaming of cats, bats, and pumpkin pie!  Stay tuned.  Keep on punchin.

On the Frame BITTERSWEET & CHUCKLES

BITTERSWEET & CHUCKLES is the latest design on the frame.  Ongoing work on the cabin/studio.  Plus fence and gate repair.  Not to mention yard work.  Oh the Joys Of Home Owning!
Finishing up dogs, candy canes, a couple of elfies and whoo on a paddle.  Summer is flying by, and I'm getting ready to do a demo at the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts in September.  My studio will be open during the Artist Guild Covered Bridge Studio Art Tour the second weekend in October.  It will be a short skip and a hop from there to the Holiday Art Fair the first weekend in December.  One more Fall design and then it's time for a 2018 Santa!  Keep on punchin.

ON THE FRAME BLACK FACED SHEEP

Inspired by this fabulous red and white wool I found on ETSY, I drew up a couple of BLACK FACED SHEEP.  These are pretty much the same sheep that are in 3 SHADES OF SHEEP with an added wreath of holly around the neck.  On the frame is BLOWING IN THE WIND.  Haven't had as much time to work on that as I'd like.  I'm also involved in an on-line watercolor class and going to paint some of my 337 designs!!!  Keep on punchin.
