Here's the famous YURT sporting it's award winning quilted panels on display at the International Quilt Festival held last week in Chicago, Illinois . The YURT belongs to the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and fiber arts and is part of our permanent collection. A call went out to quilters and a challenge was born to create panels representing the seasons. And the winners are... on display! The show was amazing, so many talented people out there, so many new ideas. I'm going to have to just...Keep on punchin.

The Artist's Guild plein air competition, and Cedarburg's Strawberry Fest will draw crowds to our city next weekend June 27th & 28th. If you're coming, bring a quilt along because it's documentation day and don't forget to come to the Farm House where I'll be punchin up Strawberry Pins. Keep on punchin.

APPLES IN SHEEP SILK
A package of Sheep Silk arrived yesterday and I started right in to punch up apples! It's a rainy day today and I've got onion soup of the stove and bread dough rising. There will be french onion soup for supper! Since I'll be at the studio the next 3 days and then on Sunday at Pioneer Village, I've decided to stay home and punch this afternoon. Plus I've got sock yarn that need knitting up! Keep on punchin.

SIMPLE RED SALT BOX
Cool and rainy days are perfect for punchin! I'd had this SIMPLE SALT BOX design tucked away from the days when I was painting needlepoint canvases, and decided to punch it up. Love the results. Off today to the WMQFA and my studio. The tours are starting up again after a long winter and rainy spring! It's so fun to introduce new people to the art of punchneedle. Keep on punchin.
