RAMSEY, RUSTY WOOL & TOMATOS
Ramsey & The Christmas Star is one of my most popular patterns. He's in a fancy frame on my etsy shop. The wool I dyed rust last week inspired me to tweak (don't you just love that word) the color of threads just a shade or two from the original. The plaid is now Gentle Art's blue spruce and mulberry. The mulberry has just enough rust in it to work with the wool. It's a pillow in waiting. Oh the tomato, look close and you will see a little red globe peeking out behind the mustard plank chair. Keep on punchin.

DYE BATH
I've been waiting for the perfect day and today is it The sun is out and there's a slight breeze. No that's not lobsters in my granite pot, it's wool. I like to cut up fat 1/8's for the dye pot. I like to use Kool Aid, but for those rich fall colors, I use Country Classics.. This batch is Country Classics Rust! Keep on punchin.

POSIES & POEMS
While cleaning up my bookcase, I came across a poem I written in 2001 and was published in the WISCONSIN POETS CALENDAR. I thought I'd share it with you.
AUGUST
Old Sage -
On Summer's Stage
Foolishly you try
To Masquerade as July
Long languid days
Filled with Matinees
Black-eyed Susans kick
Your breath labors thick
The Petunias know
This is the Final Show
While the Fat Lady
Slipper sings-
The Mums-crimson
Are waiting in the wings.
I didn't realize Harley was behind the Russian Sage until I downloaded the photo. Keep on punchin.

PUMPKIN FACE PINS
I started making these mini pumpkin face pins and couldn't stop! They are 1 1/2" X 2" with a real wooden stem and a plaid woolie leaf. I've been using lots of different thread from Gentle Art's pumpkin pie to Valdani's yummy pumpkin and toffee! One of these is destined for my etsy shop. Hmm which one will it be? Keep on punchin.
