Spent the morning with Jim Kennedy at the Wisconsin Alpaca & Wool Festival...and the afternoon shifting up some wonderful alpaca/wool blend yarn for a sweater.  Yummy homemade chili in a '50's drive in diner.  Life is good and now to punch.  Keep on punchin.

On the frame STRAWBERRY MANOR.  I'm getting it ready for the Strawberry Challenge hosts by the Wisconsin Museum Of Quilts & Fiber Arts.  It's an annual event.  The submissions will be collected and hung in the Entry in early June.  Visitors coming to the Museum will vote and the Friday before Cedarburg's Strawberry Festival there will be a kick off party where the winners will be announced.  Keep on punchin.

TEA COTTAGE

TEA COTTAGE is finished...I'll have the patterns up on www.etsy.com/shop/thecooperscottage this week...Spent a little time in my studio today, shopped for Easter, and made a quick trip to the accountant.  Taxes done & done.  Ready to move on to cleaning and cooking.  The Cedarburg Depot is being framed and I'm planning the next design.  After talking to the very friendly gals at OXFORD RUG PUNCH COMPANY in VERMONT.  I've decided to try their fine rug punch needle that takes worsted weight yarn and monks cloth or linen.  Gathering the supplies and starting to think about my designs best suited to enlarge to make mats, chair pads, etc.  Not too big...not as big as hooked rugs.  Kris Miller has my drawings for that and sells them thru Spruce Ridge Studio.  Keep on punchin.

DOODLES

I'm Doodling away as I was just told that Jessie James is expected to deliver her pups on May 15th...which means July 15th they will be ready to go home.  However I'm opting for an extended 2 week training program where we will both be trained!  On the magazine front, i just sent off a pattern for the July issue of the Wool Street Journal and anther pattern for their October and final issue!  So sad to seem them go, I have a contributor of theirs for many years.  Look for FOLK ART FLOWERS in Simply Vintage Summer Issue and HARVEST MOON in Punchneedle & Primitive Stitcher Fall Issue.  It's lunch & learn this Saturday so it's a little crazy.  Have the drawing of the Old Inter Urban Train Depot finished.  It will be my Historic building for 2017.  Plus I'm working on an idea that SAYS WISCONSIN...that's the name of the Cedarburg Art Museum's exhibit this year.  Keep on punchin.

APRIL SHOWERS (LITERALLY)

A wet day in Cedarburg, and no heat...I'm bundled up with layers of clothes and fingerless gloves!  Hopefully I'll have heat tomorrow, but they can't work in the rain because my furnace is in a lean to outside!!!  The joys of living in a historical or hysterical barrel factory!  Off to the Museum today or a tour group, then mailing orders before coming home and baking up a loaf of bread!  Yes there will be stitching too.  Keep on punching.

APRIL BONNET GIRL

Wow it's April...I've been busy as a bee finishing up those punched projects.  On my drawing board is the historic Cedarburg Depot.  It's going to be fun to punch, almost ready.  I'm updating some older patterns.  Right now I've added polka dots to Horsing Around...I'll be posting an in progress picture on Facebook Punchneedle 101 early next week.  Newsletter going out on Sunday.  Hope to have a new look next month.  Keep on punchin.
