MORE SHADES OF SHEEP


I found this fabulous wool plaid at Holly & Ivy in Ripon, Wisconsin and thought it would make a great pillow for my sheep!  What you see on top is the almost finished product!  Love taking a design and working it in a couple of different color schemes.  On the boards is a Snow Bunny...Keep on punchin.

Lunch & Punch had an unexpected guest yesterday, yes that's a Shark, crocheted shark slipper!  Jim Kennedy, masquerading as Ahab made them for Allion's family!  Needless to say we had a grand time yesterday, mostly laughing, talking, and eating.  Keep on punchin (somebody has to)

HOLIDAY ART FAIR



Holiday Art Fair Weekend has past...it was great show.  The ever popular angel face pins sported buffalo plaid wings this year!  One on Ina's bunnies came home with me!  A good time was had by all.  Now it's time to whip up a batch of cookies for tomorrows book club!  Keep on punchin.

LUNCH & PUNCH



As many of you know, the second Saturday of every month is Lunch & Punch in my studio.  We had a house full yesterday.  Lots of laughs and a great BLT salad provided by Jean.  Mary made another wonderful dessert frosted pumpkin squares!   It was great gathering of punchers.  Of course there is always one in every class...you know who you are Jim Kennedy!  Keep on punchin.

AUTUMN ISSUE SIMPLY VINTAGE


It was a beautiful weekend with a great group of people on the Cedarburg Artist's guild Covered Bridge Studio Art Tour!  Waiting for me was The Autumn Issue of Simply Vintage.  Pick up a copy, there is a 10 page spread about my studio and a free pattern of Pumpkin Harvest inspired by the log cabin on my property.  It's time to finish up this years Santa!  Stay tuned.  Keep on punch.

COVERED BRIDGE STUDIO TOUR

Here's the add from last night's News Graphics!  All over Ozaukee County artists will be in their studios this weekend.  It's a fun event.  I'll be in my studio Friday from 4-8, Saturday 9-5, & Sunday 11-4.  If you're in the area stop in.  There will be Carmel Corn, frosted apple cake, & apple cider.

WINTER ANGEL

Here's the first in my snowman series " Candy Man".   I plan to get him finished this week and get him up on etsy on Sunday.  Not a great start to the week...my front loading washing machine won't spin...and the door is locked with a load of clothes inside.  The only people I see these these days are repair men!  Keep on punchin.

HATTIE WITH HER FIRST PUPPY CUT...


Hattie my Old English Sheep Dos has just had her first "Puppy Cut".  She is 8 1/2 and has always had a  full coat.  It was way past time for something a little more manageable.  However she is not a happy camper as you can see by the look in her eyes... I've told her we have all fall and winter to grow it out, but I'm not sure she believes me.  Keep on punchin.

DALA HORSE

Been wanting to do a Dala Horse for a couple of years...finally got it drawn up!  I plan to use the same pattern and punch a yellow one, and a blue one.   They should look great hanging on a tree or   stuffed in amongst some fresh boughs.  One month from today is my Country Folk Art Show in St. Charles, Ill.  Keep on punchin.

DANCING BLACK CATS

Dancing Black Cats are hooped up...I think I'll kit these up with ribbon and thread.   Today Chimney Concepts is coming to see what can be done about my 1860 fireplace.  Obviously it's not up to todays' codes and since I cannot live with out fire (I am a Sagittarius) ; I'll need to do what ever it takes to get it working before the first frost.  Keep on punchin.

DANCING PUMPKINS

Dancing Pumpkins are being punched up and readied for the Fall Country Folk Art Show in St. Charles, Illinois.  The Sheep n Wool Barn will post tomorrow.  Working on a submisson for the Cedarburg Art Museum.  The theme this year is Cedarburg Festivals.  I've chosen The Winter Fest and am working on "primsical" design depicting the Bed Race....Stay tuned.  Keep on punchin.

PIG N PUNKIN BARN

Pig n Punkin Barn is done and the pattern is ready to post on etsy.  This is the first in a series of  barns with animals on weather vanes.  Chix n Egg Barn is on my frame.  Sheep n Wool Barn is waiting patiently.  I've been designing by day and punching by night!  I've needed to keep busy as many of you know, after my son, Todd's passing last month.   This is the first time I've mentioned it here.  It was well documented on FaceBook.  He had a heart condition, but was feeling good.  Had been out on his Harley just the day before.  It was a pulmonary embolism, he died in his sleep.  Todd had just turned 47 and for the past 8 years lived in the little log cabin on my property.  I miss him everyday.  Keep on punchin.
