ROLL OUT THE BARREL

HATTIE AND HARLEY watch as my Maxwell Day find (an old barrel) is rolled into place in front of the cabin.  After all what self respecting Cooperage would be without barrel.  This honey replaces one that stood in the same spot for close to 30 years before it gave up!  I don't like to do it, but I think I'm going to brush this one with some kind of poly to help protect it from the Wisconsin weather.  On another fun note today's date is 5/30/12  and it just so happens 53012 is our zip code.  A giant block party is planned for tonight, the downtown streets are being blocked off.  Food and beverages are on the way.  Let the music begin...Did I mention The Crows are coming.  Stay tuned.  Keep on punchin.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

Another sunny day here in S.E Wisconsin, and the garden is calling.  The weekend was busy with the Ozaukee Master Garden sale on Saturday and the first Maxwell Days of the season yesterday!  Oh yes, my garden is full and my pocketbook is empty...  A little fence project starts today!  I'll get some photos of the plants posted soon.  Plus the crows are coming, the crows are coming!  Keep on stitchin.

WHAT'S NEXT?

There is always so much going on in Cedarburg, it's hard to keep up.  This Saturday is Ozaukee Master Gardner's plant sale.  I'm getting my garden ready to receive all those fabulous plants and drawing up some antique flower seed packets for stitching.  Keep on punching.

GIRLS NITE OUT

Sara and Jennifer, two happy shoppers.  Anonymous dinners at the Anvil caught with camera, while I leaned out my studio window...  Eleven hundred gals preregistered for the event and several hundred more joined in.  If the laughter wafting up from the street was any indication, I'd say GALS NITE OUT was a smashing success.  Keep on punchin.

AN APPLE A DAY

An apple a day has new meaning for one of the spinners at University Days.  That's right she's spinning on a spindle made out of apple and a pencil!  Who knew.  I'll post more photos tomorrow, including a couple of my students... Happy Mothers Day to all out there.   I'm off to celebrate.  Keep on punchin.

MISSSED MAY DAY!

So busy getting ready for my classes and workshops this month, I forgot to post this little May Basket.  It's hanging on a door in my studio.  I punched it in simply wool.  The pattern is available upon request.
